January saw 128 patients who failed to attend their appointments, if you are unable to attend or no longer need your appointment please call us as soon as possible so we can give the appointment to someone else who needs it.

Roles in practice

Below is information on some of the types of roles you may be directed to see/speak to when requesting an appointment.  We have a team of experienced clinicians who play a crucial role in providing comprehensive and specialised healthcare services to our patients. Each clinician brings a unique set of skills and expertise to our Practice.

Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP):
(Skilled healthcare professional with advanced training)

Qualified to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of medical conditions. Patients benefit from their expertise in managing both acute and chronic illnesses, as well as receiving guidance on preventative healthcare and measures.

Advanced Paramedic Practitioners (APP):
(Paramedics with additional advanced skills)

Play a crucial role in providing emergency care, as well as contributing to the ongoing management of various health conditions. Their expertise extends beyond traditional paramedic roles, making them valuable members of our healthcare team.

Clinical Pharmacists:
(Ensure the safe and effective use of medications)

Provide medication reviews, offer advice on proper dosage and administration, and help manage potential side effects. Collaborating with other clinicians, pharmacists contribute to optimising medication regimens for our patients.

Physiotherapists:
(Focus on enhancing mobility and function)

Play a key role in the rehabilitation of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Through personalised exercise plans and therapeutic interventions, contributing to the overall physical well-being of patients.

Mental Health Practitioners:
(Support patients with psychological and emotional well-being)

Offer counselling, therapy, or guidance on managing mental health conditions. Integrating mental health services into our Practice ensures a holistic approach to healthcare.

Cancer Link Nurse:
(Provides vital support to patients diagnosed with cancer)

Offer information, emotional support, and coordinate care plans, ensuring that patients and their families receive assistance throughout their cancer journey.

Care Coordinators:
(Play a pivotal role in coordinating and managing patient care)

Help to enhance health outcomes for our patients by coordinating diagnostic tests, help with medication management, health promotion and disease prevention.

Social Prescribers:
(Help patients connect with community resources, support networks, and non-medical services that contribute to overall well-being)

This holistic approach recognises that health is influenced by various social factors.

The collaboration among these diverse clinicians ensure that patients receive a comprehensive and personalised approach to their healthcare needs.
