Ordering repeat prescriptions

If you are receiving regular treatment you can obtain your repeat prescription without seeing a doctor. You may be asked to see the doctor on occasion to ensure everything is ok with your medication.
Prescriptions can be requested by:
- Online (using the NHS app/Patient access/myGP) Try the NHS app
- Using our online form which is located below. Please click the ‘Order your repeat prescription form’
- Via email at blackpool.highfieldprescriptions@nhs.net
- By completing a paper request and handing it in to our first floor reception
Repeat prescriptions take 48 hours to be issued. Please check with your pharmacy whether a prescription is ready to collect once it has been issued.
Pharmacy First Service
Your local pharmacy can advise on provide treatment for the following conditions:
- Sinusitis (age 12+)
- Shingles (age 18+)
- Impetigo (age 1+)
- Sore throat (age 5+)
- Earache (age 1 to 17)
- Infected insect bites (age 1+)
- Urinary tract infections in women (ages 16 to 64)
No appointment is required for this service, simply go to a participating pharmacy. Your nearest participating pharmacy to Highfield Surgery is Lytham Road Pharmacy located in our building on the ground floor.
